14U Boys

Our 14U boys program is designed to accommodate the multi-sport athlete with two training times a week. This program aims to teach our athletes the core principles of volleyball and to provide them with a base to continue on their volleyball journey. Tigers volleyball club follows Sport for Life's Long Term Development Stages; our 14U program leads athletes through the Learn to Train stage which helps athletes understand basic rules, tactics, and strategy in game play. Some athletes in this age class will enter the Train to Train stage.

The 14U program will compete in VNS' 14U age class. All 14U programs must follow the fair-play rule, where teams put an emphasis on development. This team trains twice a week, Wednesday's from 6:30-8pm at Stadacona gym and Sunday mornings from 10am-12pm at Dalplex. This program will compete in the local Super Series, VNS Provincials, an out of province event as well as Volleyball Canada Nationals (optional).

16U Boys

Our 16U boys program is designed to accommodate the volleyball athlete who is leaning towards making volleyball their primary sport. This program trains 3-times a week and competes regularly This program aims to reinforce the core principles of volleyball while beginning to introduce more advanced techniques, strategy and skills. Tigers volleyball club follows Sport for Life's Long Term Development Stages; our 16U program leads athletes through the Train to Train stage which see's athletes develop several performance components including physical, technical-tactical, mental, and emotional.

The 16U program will compete in VNS' 16U age class. Our 16U team trains three times a week, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 8-10pm at the Canada Games Centre and Sunday afternoons from 12-2pm at Dalplex. This program will compete in the local Super Series, VNS Provincials, out of province events as well as a one major event in either Western Canada or the US.

18U Boys

Our 18U boys program is designed to introduce athletes to high performance training. Our 18U program trains 4-5 times per week and utilizes a number of training tools including hitting boxes, setting targets, blocking mats and a serving machine. This program has a strong emphasis on technical training paired with teaching athletes advanced skills and tactics. Tigers volleyball club follows Sport for Life's Long Term Development Stages; our 18U program aims to teader the line between the Training to Compete and Training to Win stages. Although not always the case we are looking for athletes who have specialized in the sport of volleyball and have aspirations of playing at the next level.

The 18U program will compete in VNS' 18U age class. Our 16U team trains 4-5 times a week including, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 8-10pm at the Canada Games Centre and Sunday's from 10am-1pm at Dalplex, as well as some additional training times throughout the week. This program will compete in the local Super Series, VNS Provincials, multiple out of province events as well as Volleyball Canada Nationals.
